  • Customization has been made an integral part of the new update of User Approve as every site can have a unique portfolio so the registration settings allow to set Welcome message, Pending error message, Denied error message, Registration message and Registration complete message.
  • There are 3 sub-tabs in this section,

REGISTRATION NOTIFICATIONS

WELCOME MESSAGE

  • The Welcome Message is displayed to the user visiting the website for registration and login.
  • It can convey any message that will guide the user for the registration process.
  • A shortcode has also been added that can fetch and display the site name in the Welcome Message. Users will have to copy and paste the shortcode into the message body to fetch and add the site name in the message.
  • Click on the Save Changes button.

  • The Registration Message is displayed when the user navigates to the registration page, it can be used to guide and provide details of the registration process.
  • Click on the Save Changes button.

REGISTRATION COMPLETE MESSAGE

  • When the user has entered the username and email address which will be used for the registration purposes and clicked the register button they will be redirected to the confirmation page where the registration complete message will be displayed, it can be used to further guide the user until their registration request has been reviewed.
  • Click on the Save Changes button.

FRONT-END IMPACT

  • The user will go to the Registration page.
  • Enter the required credentials and then click on the Register button.
  • Enter the required credentials and then click on the Register button.

Change the Admin/Sender Email

  • The admin can now change the admin/sender email address by navigating to the New Users Approve > Settings.
  • The admin will be redirected to the settings page, where various New User Approve settings will be displayed.
  • The admin can view the email field beside the Administrator Email Address, where they can change the admin/sender email address.
  • After changing the email address, save the changes by clicking on the Save Changes Button.

Frontend Impact

  • When a new user is registered on the site, the admin/sender email is changed.

Set a Specific User Role that will be auto-approved just by registering.

  • The admin can set a specific user role that can be automatically approved after simply registering through the registration page.
  • This can be viewed by simply navigating to the New User Approval > Settings.
  • Navigate to the General Setting tab.
  • Under the General Setting, the admin can specify the Specific User Roles besides the Auto Approval For Specific User Roles dropdown.
  • Select the User roles for automatic approval, eliminating the need for manual admin approval.

After selecting the specific role forauto-approvall, the admin selects the save changes button to apply the settings.

Frontend Impact

  • When a user registers and selects the user role, if the selected user role is Author or Contributor, the user will be automatically approved by the system without approval from the admin.

NOTE: When selecting Author as a user role, the system automatically approves the user without admin approval. 

  • Users registered with the Author roles are automatically approved and can be viewed by the admin under New Users Approve > Approve New Users.
  • Under the Approved Users tab, those end-users will be displayed, without admin approval.

Change the User Role after approval.

  • The admin has the ability to change the user role after the end user approves it. 
  • The user role can be changed by navigating to New Users Approve > Approve New Users.
  • Under the User Roles tab, the admin can change the user roles of the end-users by clicking on the Edit Button.
  • Once the admin clicks on the Edit button, a popup will appear.
  • The admin can select various user roles from the dropdown menu. This enables the admin to change the current user role to any other role available.
  • After selecting the desired User Role, the admin needs to click on the Save Changes button to save the changes.

  • The User has an ability to change the user roles of the approved users.

Registration ( Membership, Admissions, etc ) Closed and displayed its message.

  • The admin has the ability to close registration by setting a specific end date or expiry date.
  • Admin can also close the registration by setting up the Maximum Number of Registration Forms.
  • There is an option of Registration Type where the admin can choose between which type is used for closing the registration.
Registration Type
  • Admin has the ability to select two types of Registration:
  • Date and Time
  • Number of Registrations
  • To enable the registration deadline setting, the admin needs to enable the toggle button labeled as Registration Deadline, which is located at Settings > Registration Settings.

NOTE: Enabling a toggle button for the Registration Deadline is important, as it will allow the setting of the registration deadline.

Date and Time

  • To select the registration type as Date and Time, the admin first needs to select the checkbox.
  • The admin will select the Date and Time for closing the registration that is besides the label named Closing of Registration Form
  • The admin can customize the text into a label field called Label For Registration Deadline.
  • Admin will Save the changes once specifying the registration deadline date and time.

Frontend Impact

  • If a user attempts to register on the site after the registration deadline has Passed or while it is Closed, the message will be displayed which is specified by the admin.
  • The user fills out the details of registration and clicks on the Register button.
  • When the user clicks on the Register button it will display the error message that is specified by the admin.

Number of Registration

  • To select the registration type as Number of Registration, the admin first needs to select the checkbox.
  • The admin will be able to set the Maximum Number of Registration in field which is labeled Number Of Registrations Form

Frontend Impact

  • If a user attempts to register on the site after the maximum Number of Registrations is exceeded, the message will be displayed, which is specified by the admin.
  • The user fills out the registration details and clicks on the Register button.
  • When the user clicks on the Register button, the error message will be displayed.
